winter has been so low-key here this year - and for the last several though this year seemed to be almost nothing in the way of serious cold, and accumulative snow - but I kept the feeder full - one that can be set so that the smaller birds can feed but the heavier ones trip the perch cutting off the opening for the seed - the big ones still can peck through small holes in the side or on the ground where heaps of seed from the wasteful motions of the feeding little guys - and best of all it slows down the squirrels hogging the whole shebang - as always thanks for the comment (and again thanks for the photo of the deck) - see you in summer
