Single Malts - and other odd Musings

Dee Dee - II

most of my U.S. and Canadian visitors know what the Dee Dee  is - usually the Black-capped chickadee - with the nick name being the little birds constant call.  But for some of the foreign visitors with an interest in birds in general I will give a quick bit of information.  The Black-capped Chickadee, Parus atricapillus, about 4 1/2 inches in length, is common in North America across the upper half of the U.S. and lower half of Canada. There are about four other birds in North America very similar to the Mr Dee Dee above, of which I have seen the Boreal, and the Carolina.  I might add that you will seldom see the chickadee without spotting its' constant companion the Tufted Titmouse - of which I will another day post as he gathers round the bird feeder.
