Single Malts - and other odd Musings

Moon About 6:30 a.m. - II

This is how the previous post looked coming out of camera - but I cropped it to make the moon's image larger and then enhanced the contrast - my Panasonic Lumix FZ200 with 24x zoom and stabilization enables me to take great shots without a tripod - basically a simple point and shoot - if the sensor were larger this photograph would be really detailed after the digital cropping - but for purposes of this blog or similar endeavors of an amateur it is a fantastic camera that I carry everywhere with no bundle-some added lenses etc

this is not an ad - I just love the camera

Eagle At Deer Kill

driving back from getting fresh farm milk at Kilbys I passed a car pulled over to the side of the road with the driver out filming this same eagle - I stopped and grabbed a quick shot then drove on to a turning drive and started back as she drove away - then I parked in her deserted spot and immediately got this photograph above

It Was A Merganser

I was setting my camera for 24x Zoom and for 12 burst shots when the Merganser gave his take-off lunge, basically walking on water with the mighty wings seeking lift

(I cropped the photo farther to give some size to the subject without losing too much to loss of detail)
