Scary things I’ve Read Recently
Oklahoma, a state in the southwestern part of the U.S., is
experiencing some unusual earthquake statistics recently. For example in some number of years, 1990 to
2008 specifically, Oklahoma experienced about 11 earthquakes a year of 2.0 and
above on the Richter scale. Then in 2013
there were at least 291 such events.
However in February alone, of this year 2014, they have experienced over
250 such quakes. Baby there’s a whole
lot of shaking going on! Perhaps you
have already heard about the possibility of a super volcanic eruption over due
in the Yellowstone National Park area – take a look at a geologic map of the
U.S. and see if you see any relationship here. Lava flows anyone?
