on this very cold day, for our neck of the woods, I've been posting photographs of our common birds that come for feed in winter and nest nearby in summer - and in order of appearance they have been, Blue Jay, Male Cardinal, Female Cardinal, and now a Robin, which said Robin had long been a migratory bird leaving our area in the winter, but for some ten years now this hardy bird has maintained a surprising large flock through out the year (at least in the several hundred acres comprising the Black Hill area). This is the American Robin, Turdus migratorious, about 10 inches in length - and puffed up a little against the chill.
