Another Cold Blue Heron

on passing the old marina it looked like one too many pilings along the edge

sure enough it was Brrr Heron himself looking across the frozen inlet

using the telephoto lens and a little blow-up with the computer we get to see his beady eye giving me the once over

now I'm getting the cold shoulder

I might have gotten a better close-up photograph than shown here but in this cold weather I did not want him to waste body energy flying away when I penetrated his privacy zone - for the Great Blue Heron is a wary bird indeed.
