The recent heavy rain-storm loaded the North East Creek to flood stage. Here along the flood plain stretch of the upper North East River the furious pouring creek water eroded several feet of bank along the rivers edge and in the process also almost removed this memorial foot-bridge across the small feeder rill that leads back into a marshy area. This private little foot bridge was erected by friends of a young man about my young son's age which I purposely did not photograph before because of respect for the privacy of their gesture - but now before it is gone for good I thought that I would save this image.
