As I photographed the Osprey perching in the tree it's apparent mate was setting in this huge nest built on a man-made platform - quite tilted, whether from faulty construction or from the weight of the nest I don't know.
Thank you Shamik, there is a Christian Camp (pretty upscale) near here that I have been familiar with since I was a little child (and it was then a Christian camp but quite rural) and ever since I have lived here at black hill - about 1981 - I have ran their road and wood trails, biked same, including along the shore where this nesting pole is located but this day in the rain was the first time that the nesting place ever registered in my mind.
