- technically I should have used the word 'lagan' : re "Lagan (also called ligan)^[4] is goods or wreckage that is lying on the bottom of the ocean, sometimes marked by a buoy, which can be reclaimed", but my nontechnical mind thinks of 'Jetsam' as what someone throws over the side. (and my nontechnical mind thinks of 'flotsam' as anything floating freely as in my previous post of the floating leaf ).
