Military Salute frightens Big Blue

I drove down what I call 'Wharf Road' although the store and fish market known for a large part of my lifetime as 'The Wharf' are long gone, to take yet more photographs of one of the haunts where I take more pictures than any other, and as I passed the small old churchyard of St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church - circa 1743, of which date a story I'll post sometime when I do a St. Mary Anne's photograph again - and I noticed that a military style funeral was underway with older men in dress uniform carrying rifles for that final salute.  Then some time later as I was getting ready to photograph my favorite Great Blue Heron as he foraged along the far shore the sudden volley of the seven gun salute crashed the air scaring Big Blue into sudden flight down river toward me.
