Single Malts - and other odd Musings

Bald Eagle - Haliaeetus leucocephalus

this was another of my serendipitous photographs - I could not get down the river bank toward the eagles nest as the tide was too high, but as I walked as far as I could I spotted what I thought was a black vulture setting on a high perch - so I went to 24x and snapped two shots - much to my delight when I uploaded them to my computer I could easily see that the 'vulture' was indeed an immature Bald Eagle - and due to the proximity of the nest that I have posted earlier I am surmising that this is one of this years young ( the photos shown are croppings of the 24x zoom in order to give a better glimpse of the 'eagleness' of the bird).
