this downed tree would have been safe to take out with the chain-saw for as can be seen farther down the road another downed conifer under which a broken live wire is smoldering and setting the snow covered grass on fire - hence this forefront tree could safely be sawed but I had already received word not to cut any of the downed trees until the power company had checked things out
