Briaring

although in my prowling through marsh and wood briars tend to claw me fairly nastily from time to time, I must say that I think this particular briar - Cat Briar is the local name and on checking it out I find that I can positively say Genus "Smilax" and I guess it is Smilax bona-nox - is appealing in looks both in late spring and in autumn.  If botany is one of your interests you might want to check out the edibility of this plant.
