the tide was high and I only had my low-cut yard shoes so I didn't get close enough for a close up shot - but cropping the previous photograph shows two distinct 'chicks' (dark heads) waiting for food while one parent keeps a watchful eye for any trouble at this late stage of their development - I'm not sure how soon they will fly but I would love to catch it
