added a super to each hive, with a 'queen excluder' between the hive and the top frame (just visible as the wider joint next to the top frame) the worker bees are small enough to fit through the spacing of the metal lattice in the excluder but the queen cannot thus with no eggs being laid in the cells the worker bees use them as storage for what turns into honey.
