"Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."

Almost one-half century ago, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon and those words remain burned into the memories of many of us these five decades later.  When I took the photograph above (actually this is a 'cropped' portion of a larger photograph showing three young eagle chicks which was taken using 24x zoom) I did not realize how this would remind me of that brilliant time in the history of our country.
