everyday living in the country we do the 'tick patrol' - checking your body all over, front, back, groin, head, etc. for these annoying and also potentially dangerous insects - I have been treated for Lyme Disease several times, just one of the diseases that this little guy can pass on to you if not removed immediately - this particular guy is about the size of this asterisk '*' and they can be easy to miss BUT luckily if detected and removed in less than 24 to 36 hours your odds of being infected are small. However when this small they can easily be missed being seen or felt.
