the sharp and quizative eye follows my every move - and the intervening limbs and needles of the White Pine make focusing difficult with my camera, so I estimate the distance and do a focus on a neighboring tree of about the same measure away, and then holding the shutter button down about half way I bring her into view and complete the motion - nice
Doves and pigeons produce a unique food for feeding their young, called 'pigeon milk' - this food is rich in fat and protein and is produced by glands in the dove's crop. The parent opens its mouth wide and the baby sticks its head in deep to gorge on the thick, nutritious food.
