Sometime late last summer, early autumn, the power company came up our lane marking trees to be trimmed or taken down, one of which you see the bucket-sawyer starting to do the safety trimming to enable the tree to be dropped without hitting the power lines [examine the photo closely and you can see the wires one of which seems to be running right across the back of his blue jacket].
We waited months with baited breath and eventually they came [see photos Dec 2019] lots of trucks and chippers all of which seemed to be for thinning branches through or near the lines and a couple of trees downed that were of little concern to my mind and then after just a few hours they drove off part of the job done but the bulk mostly left undone with red marked tree after red marked tree left standing in place.
So we and our neighbors decided to take down an exceedingly leaning tree [marked in red] that was starting to expose its roots from the leaning leverage by engaging Cecil Tree Service which we had used before and were very happy with the results.
great job done expediently and safely with great clean up job - and trunk wood left behind for our stoves.
