My young son and I went out to get our Christmas Tree today, 20 Dec, just about the earliest I have ever cut a tree. Over Colora way we had spotted this little tree farm with closed, weekends only sign and decided to go back today. Again closed, but we knocked on the door of the house and a very nice lady agreed that we could get out trees (Calum wanted one also) if we wanted. And we did after about 10 to 15 minutes surveying the trees and making our choice.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Carol, we lucked out on cutting the tree this year, most of the local tree farms were closed but we found one that said 'Open Weekends Only' and which we journeyed to on Sunday - and it was still closed. No vehicles were in the yard of the small farm home but I ventured up and rang the bell and when no answer we prepared to leave but then a lovely lady came to the door and basically told us that they had closed at noon. I asked that if we were quick and paid cash could we get two trees and she agreed - so Voila !
