Single Malts - and other odd Musings



The previous photos showing the stacked split halves was wood from this blow-down (on the right in this photo) - still have to 'chunk' the second main trunk but as you can see below, the upper portion has already been cut up and hauled home to the wood-rick (bottom photo).  I almost always start from the top of the tree and work toward the base - worked well in this case, though I had to move the cut 'chunks' a little farther than usual because the uprooting - against which I might normally pile my work - is right in the path of the overflow of a 'dry' wood creek that runs just out of sight to the back of the photo.
