I have posted photographs of this owl (or possibly it's parents) before. It is in town in a small small copse of wood on the old wharf road across from St. Mary Annes. Then last summer construction on a home in the near vicinity seemed to have driven the couple away as I no longer spotted the secluded birds again until the Ides of March yesterday. At least four times a week or more I would drive down toward the river pausing to peruse the copse and especially the lovely Holly tree at the corner of the old Sexton's house in which one of the couple would often wile away the resting daylight hours.
But at last they seem to have returned and if all goes well in a few weeks or so I might see some young.
